How to cook wrinkled ring stropharia

You will need – stropharia, water for cooking

Cooking in a saucepan
1. Rinse the stropharia thoroughly under cool running water, scrape off the dirt from the legs with a knife, cut out dark areas, if any.
2. The lower part of the leg – the place where the mushroom is cut, cut off.
3. Pour so much water into a saucepan or shallow saucepan so that it completely covers the stropharia, place it on a strong fire, wait for it to boil.

– Stropharia wrinkled-annular – an edible mushroom of the Strophariaceae family. It may also be called a “ringer”.

– Stropharia has a convex brownish hat , with a diameter of 4 to 20 centimeters. Over time, the hat turns into a flat one and loses its color. The leg of the stropharia is white, from 7 to 25 centimeters long, up to 3 centimeters thick. At the base of the leg thickens, has a wrinkled ring of white, and with age – yellow, in color. The pulp is white and firm.

– In Europe, wrinkled-ringed stropharia is grown artificially, in Russia the mushroom is not so popular among buyers.

– Stropharia has a slight mushroom smell . Tastes like boletus.

– Stropharia grows on lawns, on stumps, among woody debris. It can grow in gardens, on lawns, in places of accumulation of substrates from plant residues and on sawdust. Rarely found in deciduous forests.
