Cherry plum – 1.5 kilograms
Sugar – 1.5 kilograms
Water – 2 cups (600 milliliters)
How to cook cherry plum jam
1. Sort out cherry plum suitable for jam: dense, not overripe, without rotten places.
2. Wash the cherry plum, remove the seeds, pour over with hot water.
3. Boil the syrup: pour water into a saucepan, add sugar and cook for 10 minutes over low heat after boiling.
4. Put the berries into the syrup, mix and cook for 5 minutes, removing the foam.
5. Cool the jam completely, return to the fire and cook for 10 minutes.
6. Repeat this procedure 3 more times.
Arrange the finished jam in hot sterilized jars, roll up, cool and put away for storage.
Cherry plum jam with lime
Cherry plum products
– 1 kilogram
Lime – 1 piece
Sugar – 1 kilogram
Water – half a glass
How to cook jam from lime and cherry plum
1. Wash 1 kilogram of cherry plum. Scatter the fruits on a paper towel to dry slightly.
2. Cut the fruit into halves with a knife and remove the seeds.
3. Place the cherry plum halves in a deep saucepan and cover with 1 kilogram of sugar.
4. Lime cut in half and cut into half rings. Put in a bowl and pour half a glass of boiling water. After 10 minutes, add the lime slices along with the water to the pot with the cherry plum. Mix, leave for 5 hours.
5. Bring the contents of the pot to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly.
6. After boiling, cook for 20 minutes, over a very low heat.
Arrange the finished jam in jars, close with lids, put in a dark, dry place.
