Tasty Facts

– Raincoats can be found under different names: smoky, golovachi, fluff, wolf tobacco, grandfather tobacco. Mushrooms got such names because, when ripe, they become receptacles of fine, light-weight dark dust.

– Only young raincoats are eaten. To determine the age of the mushroom, you need to break it or cut it. White flesh is edible, yellow is not.
