Buckwheat in a slow cooker
Buckwheat – 1 cup
Water – 2 cups for loose buckwheat
Butter (optional) – 30-40 gram cube
Salt – half a teaspoon
How to cook 1. Sort buckwheat before cooking, rinse and calcine for friability in a dry multicooker in the “frying” mode for 5 minutes.
2. Add cold water in the proportion of 1 cup of buckwheat: 2 cups of water, salt the water.
3. Pour buckwheat into the water, close the lid of the multicooker.
4. Set the multicooker to the “Buckwheat” mode (or, if there is no “Buckwheat” mode, to the “Milk porridge” or “Rice” mode).
5. Cook buckwheat in a slow cooker for 30 minutes . Water will boil in 10 minutes and buckwheat will be cooked in 20 minutes. If you cook more buckwheat, then you need more cooking time. For 2 glasses of buckwheat, you should set the time not 30, but 40 minutes.
6. Add a cube of butter, and mix the buckwheat.
7. For tender buckwheat, close the multicooker with a lid and let it brew for 10 minutes.
Buckwheat in a slow cooker
It is good to cook buckwheat in a slow cooker due to the effect of heating from all sides and greater preservation of moisture, because in this case the water practically does not evaporate to the outside.
The proportions of buckwheat and water in the slow cooker are standard 1: 2, but for thinner porridge, pour a little more water.
If the multicooker has a pressure cooker option, then you can cook buckwheat even faster: with the valve closed, only 8 minutes of cooking will be enough. Before opening the multicooker, open the air outlet valve.
By the way, buckwheat can be cooked without cooking :
1. Sort, rinse and ignite buckwheat before cooking. Boil a kettle of water, pour boiling water over buckwheat so that it is completely covered with it, add salt.
2. Set the multicooker to the “keep warm” or “keep warm” mode.
3. Insist buckwheat on this mode for 1 hour.
4. Add oil to buckwheat and close the multicooker for another 10 minutes.
