For 1 liter of compote
Cherry – 300 grams
Apples – 2 pieces
Sugar – 3 tablespoons
Water – 0.5 liters

How to cook compote from apples and cherries
1. Rinse 2 kilograms of apples and 300 grams of cherries.
2. Peel each apple from the seed box and cut into 8 slices.
3. Peel cherries from stones (it is recommended to use a special device for speed).
4. Pour 0.5 liters of water into the pan.
5. Put prepared apples and cherries in a saucepan, add 3 tablespoons of sugar.
6. Put the pot on maximum heat and cook until boiling.
7. After the compote has boiled, reduce the heat to a minimum, cover the pan with a lid and cook the compote for another 10 minutes with low boiling.
8. Pour the finished compote into prepared jars and roll up.

– For saturation of taste in compote, you can put a slice of lemon or add two pinches of citric acid.

– In a compote that is not intended for seaming, for piquancy, you can add a little wine, liquor or cognac.
