Checking the quality of vermicelli is simple: pour a small amount of vermicelli with boiling water, cover and let stand for a couple of minutes. If the vermicelli is completely cooked from just one soak in boiling water, this is low-quality vermicelli, like instant noodles (not to be confused with classic noodles ). Such vermicelli can be put on a casserole or on milk vermicelli, in soups it will completely boil.
